Collections

I don't collect much. I don't really know how so much of one type of thing can come across very chic. I try to keep my collections on the mini side. That way they aren't overwhelming and I don't get sick of them. My vintage trophy cups are one of my favorite "collections". Instead of having them on a shelf as you see in this picture, I like to break them up and interchange them around the house.

I saw this picture in a Pottery Barn catalog of a cute trophy cup as a brush holder. Now I am on the hunt for one of a similar size. Until then, I brought my little one into the master bathroom.

 Cute and functional.

One of the best pieces of advice in regards to home decor was from Nate Berkus, he said not to be afraid to move things around your house.  Once you place that lamp or candle somewhere doesn't mean that's where it stays until it dies (or you throw it out or donate). I try to keep that in mind.

Some of my trophy cups in action in the past:
(Clearly I am still experimenting in the styling department)

Do you collect anything?

I randomly collect mugs. It's random because I don't drink coffee or tea...ever. Yet I buy mugs all the time.

I think I collect clothes and shoes and sunglasses ;)

I LOVE the way you used them with moss for Easter.

Interesting collection. I love that you can actually utilize yours in different capacities. The only thing I collect is Starbucks mugs from all of the different cities I've visited.
