My first Mother's Day. (pause for drama...) For what I have endured over the last nearly 7 months, I really am expecting Obama to call me up and thank me or give me a gold medal or something. But since that probably won't happen here is a handy list for Jonas to refer to when picking out his mama's present. Psst...it's a three short weeks away!
Iron Wire Table from Target for holding all my cups of decaf coffee. That's right, I can't have a strong cup since I'm still breastfeeding. See what I do for you??
Marais Side Chair will match nicely with all the loud primary color toys strew about the house these days.
Eileen Fisher Washed Linen sheets and pillowcases for when I get to finally rest from the day.
Swedish Hasbeens Sandals perfect for running around doing mom things but still looking like I care about my appearance.
Spa Treatment I have a feeling this will be on every wish list I make for the next 18 years.
Card because let's be honest, a thoughtful card (bonus points for letter pressed) it really is all I want.

Time for a new backpack
The last time I bought a new backpack I bet I was in school, I think I had a couple rotating during the college days. But now that I don't need one for heavy books, I can invest in a cute one that won't get as abused. With a baby I am carrying more stuff these days and not just for him, but for me too. I usually need a change of clothes also (hello, spit up) so one of these cute packs would come in handy.

Recent purchases
These Rebecca Minkoff sandals in pink. So soft! So neon! So perfect for spring and summer!
Goodies from Sabon! I love me any kind of exfoliant and excuse to stay in the shower longer. The scrub has been great getting rid of tough winter skin on arms and legs and the gel polisher is gentle enough to rub on my belly. I first wandered into a Sabon on my Chicago trip and fell in love. We need one in California!
I was a big fan of the Say Yes to Cucumber towelettes but the Burt's Bees ones were a little less expensive and the ingredient list seemed the same, so I am giving these a try. So far, they smell fresh and clean!
This book. I have read a bunch about this nation's food system, how farms run, how animals are treated, how this country is fat, you name it. But this book focuses more on how hidden toxins go into our food and can be blamed for many common allergies and diseases. Robyn's journey began feeding her family McDonalds and flavored milk and now they are on the path of healthy eating.

Lately
I am obsessed with my Native Union Pop phone that plugs into my cell phone. I got this for Christmas but haven't really remembered to plug it in or get the hang of it until recently. I sort of hate talking on the phone and this has made it so much more enjoyable. Also, reducing cell phone radiation is uber important. They come in a ton of fun colors, too.
I am really working on staying happy and positive. Work can be such a bummer and let down that I am trying so hard to not let it dip into any of my precious non-work hours. The change in seasons, even if we are expected another solid week of rain, has helped. Any tips on how to leave work stress at the door? I'm all ears.
{My mom and dad on their wedding day}
I have been helping my parents with some little details for their 40th wedding anniversary party they are having this summer. Makes me so happy I am done planning my wedding. Even though it's just a party, there are still conversations of envelopes, talks of save the dates, DJs, booze, etc. I wasn't happy it was in the past until just now.
{May the odds be ever in your favor}
Girls night at the movies on Friday. I cannot wait!

Thinking of the sun
This beach bag isn't helping, either. Although I'm just dreaming, because there is a strict price policy on beach bags around here and it isn't $300. Only 40 days until the first day of Spring!

Lately
I have been enjoying some flowers in my West Elm vase. I was crushing on this vase for some time and finally swooped it up. I love just looking at it.
So yes, it was a good purchase!
This picture stopped me in my tracks. I think this is a real woman.
Wow! American Ferrera looks incredible.
I have been Etsy browsing and fell in love
And lastly, I have been dying over adorable pictures of my niece and nephew from a recent family shoot. The pictures are by Catie Coyle and she was the second shooter for my wedding! She's amazing.

Something Blue
I totally wasn't planning on following that silly rule "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue". I think I just used it as an excuse to buy myself a Rivka Friedman blue quartzite ring. I will wear it on my pointer finger of my right hand. I love wearing rings on my pointer fingers ever since I saw Vada Sultenfuss (My Girl) wear her mood ring on that finger.

Kitchen Storage
I have been looking for a cute container to hold all of the Nespresso cartridges that are so unsightly and keep coming back to colorful vintage tins. I think I could find a place on my counter for one of these cheerful cuties.

Some things I liked this week
{lemonade}
This quote from the founder of Trader Joe's in this month's Sunset magazine.
"TJ's was conceived for people who were over educated and underpaid, so they could have a certain richness on the table they otherwise could not-like brie, olive oil, French mustard, wild rice, and wine."
-Joe Coulombe
Our wedding invitations came in! After hemming and hawing over what to do, having saved about a bazillion inspiration photos of beautiful letter pressed wedding suites, I just couldn't pull the (gold dusted and diamond encrusted) trigger. I got them from Minted instead but totally LOVE them!
This outfit from Karla. Is she killing it or what?
One of the fashion bloggers that actually brings really unique looks. Love her.
My new J.Crew bikini top. Masala Chai. Yum. No matching bottoms for me.
I did also get a nice lil one piece.

BHLDN Wishlist
This dotted veil is so sweet and would look great placed in front of the face as well.
I have yet to sort out the veil debate, but this is strong contender.
These lace gloves made the cut because when else
will I be able to wear something like this?
Also bonus points for them looking so vintage but being new.
Vintage gloves are so tiny and I can never cram my hands in there.
And lastly, this dress. SWOON. I have no idea the purpose of this dress,
since I clearly would not pick it over my gown. It doesn't look "bride".
Maybe I can have a bridesmaid wear it?
(And for those living under a blog rock, BHLDN is the new bridal shop from Anthropologie/Urban.)

Stocking Stuffers
I sure wouldn't mind if these items made their way
into my stocking come Christmas morning.

Have yourself a Pink Christmas
No I am not talking about the line from Victoria's Secret. I just love different Christmas color schemes, especially ones involving metallics and pinks.
Merry girly Christmas! Meow. I love it all. All goodies from ABC Home. This store puts Anthropologie to shame.

Let's go shopping!
Since we were on the subject of birthday lists
(were we not on the subject? oops, now we are)
I think we shall linger on that topic a tad longer.
The practical. Socks.

Oh my, what a pretty rug.

A great little tablecloth to plop over my wood table.
All time favorite candle, ever.
Cannot go wrong bringing one of these as a hostess gift.
A cute pincushion to get me sewing.
A french thermometer for the garden area.
Beauts! Yellow corsage sash.
Or skip all of that and dinner here would be lovely.
