I recently dusted off my
Raw Foods, Real World book to get on a sort of juicing kick. It seems like at any given moment, someone on my blog reader or twitter is on a cleanse or juicing fast of some sort. I started out with the spicy skin saver since I sort of burned my skin a bit on my 4th of July trip. The author of the raw foods book says that drinking green drinks is an acquired taste.
We have got green grapes, radishes, watercress, cucumber and ginger.
All things that are supposed to build collagen and improve skin's elasticity,
protect against free radical damage and hydrate.
I halved the recipe. And I should mention that I don't have a juicer,
but since there were so many grapes, the blender worked just fine.
Verdict: decent. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either.
And are these green drinks ever really good tasting
without loading them up with sugar?
Next up, Thai Green!
