a ladies lunch baby shower

I feel so lucky to have such a sweet cousin who wanted to throw me a shower, any kind I wanted. Since we already had our big co-ed one, I thought something much smaller with just a few of the ladies I love the most would be a great way to celebrate baby Jonas. She threw the classiest luncheon ever. Take a peek!

The adorable banner greeted us as we walked inside.

The beautiful table settings.

All the place cards had quotes related to babies and children.

My sister in law set up a station for us to scrapbook Jonas' baby book. Everyone was in charge of creating a few pages like First Tooth, Nursery, Coming home from the hospital, First solid food and so on. All the pages were decorated so cute and uniquely so now whenever those moments happen, I just have to glue in the photos! Such an amazing time saver.

Beverages.

Peaches & Prosciutto.

Our beautiful and colorful lunch.

And lastly, one of my favorite presents: a homemade linen pillow from my Aunt Liana.
It is sooo beautiful in person. I sure felt the love from everyone that day!

a backyard baby-q bash

Jon and I were lucky to have our co-ed baby shower this past weekend thrown with love by the grandparents. No games, no rules, no polite chit chat. It was just our closest friends and family on a summer evening, eating and drinking and celebrating this baby on the way. It was perfect! Here are some shots from the party.

Balloons to let you know this is more than a normal BBQ.

 Spa water for the mama.

The proud parents-to-be.

Gotta have my besties.

Landon was ready for us to open our presents.

These two little helpers will finally get a cousin!

A Sophie giraffe!

The perfect end to the best shower. (I had two).
We felt so grateful and loved and can't wait to introduce this little man to all the loved ones around us!.

A Bridal Shower for Brigitte

With the popularity of blogs and Pinterest, not only have weddings been taken up a notch but also showers. I went to a Pinterest worthy bridal shower for my good friend Brigitte this past week. Take a peek at all the sweet details!

The pretty garland made from paint chips!

The yummy spread.

Cute chalkboard signs and painted bottles. This was a little area to address your own Thank You return envelope. Such a time saver for a busy bride.

Well this was just random, but the bunny in the backyard was too cute not to take a picture of.

I'm obsessed with how these painted Mason jars turned out.
When I am allowed to be around paint fumes again, I am totally making some of these!

The beautiful bride to be reading a card. Happy shower Brigitte!!
The wedding will be here before you know it. :)

My Bridal Shower

Here's what I wore to my bridal shower this weekend. Just a cute little dress I picked up at Kohls. Going to my shower was one of those moments that make you feel very grateful and a little surreal that it's all for you. If that makes sense. Like, its my turn for all of this? Kinda crazy. My wonderful maid of honor, bridesmaids and mom made sure everything was all very "Holly". (Warning: this post will be picture heavy!)

Just some of the sweet treats!

Cute banners and garlands stretching over everything.

Personalized details everywhere you turn.

With my adorable niece and beautiful sis in law.

Mother of groom in blue and mother of bride in pink. Not planned! ;)

Gorgeous day for a backyard shower.

And lastly, me with my bridesmaids, minus Cindy.
I have a ton of other pictures, but you have to cut it off somewhere.
Such an amazing day, I'm a lucky girl.

Cindy's Baby Shower

On Saturday I threw a lil baby shower for my sister in law. I am so excited to have a baby niece on the way! True story: we threw Cindy a shower for her first baby one month before her due date. Well, the morning of the shower she went into labor! And delivered like a half hour later. Not really, but it seemed like it. And my brother was at a bachelor party in Vegas. And my mom and I were stuck at my mom's with all the shower guests! You can imagine how I felt this Saturday morning-prepared for anything. But baby is still cooking and she was able to attend her own shower. Hooray.

I cut those letters out of a cereal box, glued and glittered. ta-da!

Little kid pictures of the guest of honor.

I throw parties with cupcakes.

Ashley's Shower Part 2

Let's continue where we left off. More pictures from a sweet bridal shower.

Mint water and other drinks in our horse trough.

Just some of the spread.
Hard to take pictures of everything when it's in full swing.

Sunscreen station! Gotta prevent those sunburns.

Mimosas and game playing.

Finally! A shot of the beautiful bride-to-be.
