Jonas goes to a baseball game

This past weekend we did something we were super excited to do, take Jonas to see his first Giants game. We planned it with a bunch of friends, it was a beautiful day, the Giants slaughtered the Braves.....but it just wasn't any fun for Jon or myself. Jonas was scared whenever people cheered, there was drama getting into the mother's lounge to nurse him, it was just sort of a big fat headache. An expensive headache. So keep that in mind while looking at these pictures that totally depict something else!

Some things come to mind when I see this picture of Jonas driving to the game. One: Thighs! Two: Teeth.

He is already wondering what we have got up our sleeves.

Not our ride. I decided to bring Jonas in the Ergo instead of bringing our stroller in and checking it at guest services. This worked out great, especially since he was so scared of the noises he was extra clingy.  Also it was nice we didn't have to deal with a stroller in the crowds and find elevators, etc.

On our way to our seats!

Not pleased.

Our parting gift. Pretty cool thing they do for kids first games.

Passed out while walking back to our car during the 9th inning.

We are going to chalk it up as a learning experience and not take him again until we can give him a bag of popcorn to occupy himself while we watch the game. ;)

Tilden Park

This past weekend we went to Tilden Park in the Berkeley hills. It is so kid friendly, and the weather was perfect so we decided to take Jonas on the steam train and to visit the Little Farm.

All aboard! The beginning of the wonderful "Free 2 and under" begins now... :)

Happy to be on the train.

The train winds through the redwoods for about 15 minutes. With lots of bells ringing and whistles blowing, Jonas was happily stimulated. Even through the dark tunnel he was fine.

It would be an insult to call Little Farm a petting zoo, it is so much more!

Cutie cows.

We ended the trip with a little picnic and Jonas had his first orange! He was a fan.

Weekend Scenes

Really great weekend. I can't remember the last time I even did a weekend scenes post to commemorate a great weekend. It has been way too long.

Hanging out in the back before dinner with friends on Friday. Look at those BLUES!

I cut my hair and I am kicking myself for doing it. Gah, back to growing it out. And notice that bruise on my arm? Its from where Jonas BIT me. Homeboy can do some damage with those two little chompers.

We went to my friend's fiesta birthday party and her decorations and papel picado were a huge hit!

I go to the farmer's market now in search of baby food makings, oh how times have changed. I made two big batches for Jonas. He loves butternut squash and sweet potatoes, especially when I add cinnamon!

weekend scenes.

Vintage strawberry pottery from Germany now houses my lip balms.

Beautiful dahlias from the Farmer's Market.

Getting the nursery all painted! Ironically it was painted light blue, but I wanted it more fresh and open, which is why we went with white. The room is pretty tiny, so it helps to open it up a bit.

The cutest burb clothes I have seen, found on Etsy of course.

A couple wooden toys for baby boy, purchased from Toy Joy in Austin.

Happy July!

Scenes from a bachelorette weekend

This past weekend I went to a bachelorette party to celebrate one of my good friend's upcoming weddings! She had the great idea to bring all her friends together and rent a house on the Russian River.

The deck surrounding the house.

Literally right on the water.

I am a total sucker for marketing sometimes and I thought these were so cute!
For the record, the white cran cosmo smelled really good. (Party animal)

Yummy brunch at The French Garden.

Decorations!!

Can your beautiful bride-to-be make a raging fire? This one can. :)

I should have glowsticks on hand for all summer backyard parties from now on. So entertaining.

The whole group! With the soon-to-be Mrs. in green.

Memorial Day Weekend

We hit the road to Bolinas for the holiday weekend. It is a sleepy hippie beach town that is notorious for taking down it's road signs so out-of-towners cannot find their way into it. It was the perfect long weekend with too much food, great friends, and tons of laughing. Here is a glimpse of the weekend:

The Weekend

I feel like I have been running around like crazy for the past four days and I am finally glad to have time to sit down and blog. I still need to watch The Bachelorette, which is burning a hole in my DVR! Here are some snaps from one busy weekend.

Samples galore. I went to a pregnancy thing (not a "fair", I swear) that was free at the hospital I am going to hopefully give birth at and look at the goodies I came back with! I spy: disposable bra pads, DHA up the wazoo and various nipple creams! Things are getting crazy over here.

Egg cups with bacon and spinach from Mother's Day at my parents house.

Landon with a waffle on his head.

Graduation day for Jon's sister.

Monday night's Giants game still felt like the weekend with the whole gang.

The last weekend of April

This weekend was a good one. It included time with my best girlfriends, lunches and dinners out, huge progress on the backyard, getting to see my sister in law and the kiddos and a baseball game. Here are some moments that I documented.

A caramel macaroon from La Boulange.

Ashley's colorful yummy lunch. Much prettier than mine, so she let me shoot hers. Friends that know and understand their blogger friends are the best. "Wait, don't start, I need a picture!!" doesn't get a weird reaction from them.

Nicole's handsome little man joined us for lunch and shopping.  And ladies, he is the best shopping partner!

Weekends call for list making and this new one from Shutterfly makes me enjoy every single one. It's been 8 months but I still am not used to my new last name, or initial. Hey, I had the other one for, oh, 28 years!!
