six.

{Photo by Kate Harrison}

How has it been six years? I feel like it wasn't that long ago we were starry eyed, newly in love and discussing the future and what we wanted. And somehow now we are married and with a baby on the way? This life moves too fast, but I couldn't be happier with where it has taken us.

I suppose I should stop celebrating our "dating" anniversary and only celebrate our wedding one, but with our sixth anniversary of our first date on June 6, 2006, this seemed like our golden year.

While the cat*'s away...

Tonight

he will be

here!

And

this girl will be home with nobody to talk to

except maybe this guy.

But I plan to

eat whatever I want,
and try to forget that in 23 days,

I'll be wearing one** of these!

I'll count down the days until Jon comes back, but hopefully

this guy keeps me company.

Not the most perfect weekend, but I'm working with what I got!

*In case you were wondering who the cat was.

**not my dress, you think i'd give up the goods that easily?

27 & 29.

{Chris, Betsy, Jon}

Happy birthday to my soon to be husband and sister in law. Love you both. Today they turn 29 and 27, respectively. In the photo above it sort of looks like Bets and Jon are toasting to another great year while younger brother, Chris, looks on in fury.

Tiny Bubbles

Dear Jon, It's not too early to start thinking about Valentine's Day.

From the looks of our pantry, we have about 3 or 4 bottles of champagne and this book would come in real handy.

P.S. I know this didn't work last year, but here's hoping.

quattro

Phew, time flies. Can't believe it has already been four whole years. I think this forth year was our best yet. We settled into our newly purchased house, you studied your ass off for the bar, we traipsed around Costa Rica, you passed the bar (first try!-still so proud)and became a lawyer, we hosted our very first Thanksgiving at our house, we adopted Pete, we put in a lawn, you got me back on the ski slopes, we jumped on the LOST bandwagon really late and we laughed a whole bunch. Something tells me that year 5 is going to be pretty amazing, too.

Love you,
H.

Dear boyfriend,

This vintage milk glass platter would be a darn good
Valentine's Day present.
I would always keep it piled with home baked goodies.
Just sayin'.

Post Secret

Hmm, that's awfully sad.
In other news, I love my boyfriend with whom I share a house
and is so tolerant and open to my decorating suggestions!!
Love ya babe.
