Jonas' Nursery

Here it is, the big reveal of our little man's room. It was so fun to gather things for his small space and also a bit of a challenge since the room is so darn teeny. As you can see there isn't a theme but just an overall cheery feeling and lots of animal friends.

I hope he loves his room!
Any questions about sources, ask me and I will answer in the comments.
(But the big rug is from Urban Outfitters :) )

Speaking of the outdoors...

...this hanging chair would look amazeballs in my backyard! In fact, if I had this on order it would give me much motivation to get the rest of the backyard in shape.A great place to drink a Corona or take a nap.

I never posted about how our "garden coach" session went. To sum it up, I think we were robbed. We have tons of pages of plants to purchase and what not, but not the sketch we'd hoped for. Maybe we should have hired a true landscaper?

Dreaming of chairs...

We got our new kitchen table and while the top part came darker than we remembered, we love it! We have a couple mismatched chairs in bad shape that I've had since college, but I think its time we get some nice ones.

The one at the store had a more pure stainless steel color on the top of the table. Hoping that it fades to that lighter shade. Now I just need the perfect chairs!
These I love, but they aren't right for the space. There is a freaking wingback chair in this kitchen, so I really don't think we can compete on the same level.

Enter the Tolix Marais chair. This table is like ours in reverse! And I love the fun yellow paired with the table instead of the expected gunmetal. I have sat on many a Tolix chair from cafes in Paris to outside the Fairy Building in San Francisco and I think they hold up great. My question is, would they feel too cold?

OK, I want every color.

 I am falling hard for the green.
And with us only needing 4 chairs, it won't come across quite so grasshopper-y.

Stools too!

Vera likes the white ones.

If you had to pick, which color would you go for?
The tried and true gunmetal or a more fun poppy color? Which, I am not afraid of.

I wish...

...it was taco night again.

...that my shirt always perfectly matched the couch.

...my cat would stop growing.

...some birds would find this suitable for their new home.

...I knew how to decorate a sideyard garden area.

...I had an upcoming party where I could make these,

while wearing these.

P.S. Random? Yes, I know. That's how I roll.

Hello there, sexy chair

Can you believe this sleek chair is from Restoration Hardware? I know, no bulky wrought iron or chocolate stained wood here! This chair wouldn't exactly fit in in my surburbia backyard, I see it more in LA with an infinity pool close by. Also, not like I have $1145 just laying around to be spend on outdoor seating. I can dream.

{Vintage porch chair, thrifted}

{Jon builds raised bed planter boxes}

{A couple poppies amongst weeds,
too bad it isn't the other way around}

{New Anthro pillow on sale!}

{Me, gardening in my new boxes!}

Thanks so much to all who left NYC suggestions,
I wrote down every single one.
I leave bright and early Monday morning.

Orange and Gray Chair DIY

I saw this little chair at a thrift store for 4 bucks, on sale for 3. Haha, sold. I always find it funny when thrift stores have sales. This chair was gross. The stains and mysterious yellow dried liquid on the leg of the chair...ew ew EW! I had to give it a reallllllly good sanding before spray painting it. The end result is so cheery and I almost don't want to ever sit on it!
