After a tiny bit of rain around miles 1 and 2, the sun came out while heading up Hayes Hill. Despite being uphill, this was my favorite stretch of the race. Everyone was blasting music out of their houses and we saw some of the best costumes. Two dudes dressed up as the white and black swans, for one.
And speaking of dudes, there were lots like this. And lots of naked couples.
Trekking through Golden Gate Park.
Which I learned is the biggest park in the US (within city limits).
Bigger than NYC's Central Park even.
The last mile marker. Almost there...
There are the 'breakers'!!
Done! Such a fun experience, and quite the quintessential San Francisco one.
We all agreed next year we are totally dressing up and drinking it.

I was watching some of the chaos on the morning news. I think my fave were these guys dressed up as bacon. Super cool that you joined in the fun!
I think we were both in the same corral!I went with my mom & aunts & cousin- but next year I totally want to dress up & drink it too! I had fun but I think the way to do it is either wasted in a costume, naked & creepy or like, actually RUN 7.5 miles. If you aren't "racing" then I'd rather have 200% fun.
that looks awesome and like so much fun!! costumes while running - not sure if i could do it, haha - except the time i had to wear a gorilla suit for 4 miles...hot!
you look great and really relaxed.
um, running naked? i have no interest at all. i like support.
Naked?! How funny! This is my kind of race.
ew just realized how creepy that sounded. I meant the costumes...bahahaha
you have the tamest/soberist pictures ive seen. my facebook is one big blackout
Why would you run around naked??? What are people thinking when they go..."oh I know..I'll run this race naked! It'll be great!"
make sure you take the monday off of work after bay to breakers next year..... just saying from experience.
Fun! Congrats on finishing :)
Yes yes, the drinking and dressing up part is the best!
