That's a whole lotta baby!
Some thoughts at 37 weeks:
-The baby has definitely dropped. The lower pressure I have suddenly encountered is not letting up and it happened at the same time I noticed the bump appearing more sloped and lower than normal. My tops even fit differently. He is getting into position, which makes me happy.
-Sleeping sucks. I actually dread when it's time for bed because it feels like work! I basically need to switch from side to side all night long and whenever I randomly wake up on my back I feel guilty. And simply "flipping" from one side to the other is very difficult and sort of painful.
-My exercise ball is my best friend. The position most people watch TV in while on the couch is pretty bad for promoting baby to stay in the right position and it doesn't help with circulation so I try to sit on the exercise ball when we are zoning out.
-Still not one stretch mark. Hopefully we make it all the way through without any.
-Last doctor's appointment did not show any dilatation but cervix softening. I'll take it!
-Got some nursing bras. I got way bummed out afterwards for some reason. Those things are not cute, even if you make them in black or animal print. It probably didn't help that I got them after we went suit shopping for Jon. Sharp + Sexy Suits to Nursing Bras, yay!
-Still no Braxton Hicks contractions.
My current routine includes my prenatals, extra DHA, vitamin D and Calcium chews. I take the calcium chew at night because it absorbs best on its own (or with vitamin D) but also because it is supposed to help with late night leg cramps. I will continue on all of these while breastfeeding.
Here are some new things I recently picked up. I have read on a couple blogs that oil of evening primrose and raspberry leaf tea are great things to take to begin toning your uterus and preparing the cervix for delivery. The Fenugreek is to help with milk production, so I will toss this in my hospital bag. I hear it makes your pee and sweat smell like maple syrup!
-Also, not related to pregnancy but I feel this reminder is needed right about now.

Holly, you look adorable! Your belly is soooooo cute! Sounds like everything is going well & that your little guy will be here before you know it. :)
You are so cute!!!! :)
Aww look at that bump! So cute.
I remember dreading bedtime, sleep was non existent for me at that stage unfortunately you probably won't be getting much sleep for the next 4-6 months or so.
I saw the picture before I read anything and was like: Whoa! You look great as always but things are definitely progressing (of course)! I'm a bit of a supplement freak myself, so I highly endorse all the stuff you're taking. My sister said Fenugreek helped with her supply a lot. And no stretch marks?! Wow!
Your belly is so cute! I know it's uncomfortable to be 37 weeks pregnant but I love the end of the pregnancy bump. It's so exciting to see. You look great, and I'm so excited for you and Jon in these last few weeks!
Yay for full-term! You look crazy good. I love your bump to pieces!
ps.. Amen to the reminder.
you look adorable! can't wait to see baby boy on the blog soon!
OMG I cannot believe you are full term already! He could be here any day now!!! :) I remember the uncomfortable sleep those last few weeks, esp when you're getting up to pee every 20 min! I had to sleep with no clothes on (except underwear), with a pillow between my legs. Lovely, I know lol... Enjoy these last few days of quiet, and call me when you go on mat. leave!!! :) xxooxxoo
oh my goodness so exciting!!! you look FANTASTIC!!!! can i please look half as good as you when im "full term"??
you look beautiful!!! it's amazing how big our bellies get huh? i mean i can barely walk and you're right-- sleeping sucks!!! i hear you on "flipping" and even getting out of bed. i have so much pelvic pressure, i was so surprised when, at my last appointment, my doctor said i wasn't even dilated at all (i'm 38 weeks, day 3 today). Does your pelvic bone pop? oh my gosh, after laying down for awhile or when i wake up, it's the strangest thing!!!
i don't know why i never thought of using my exercise ball! THANK YOU for that tip and for the postpartum tips-- i am off to find them this afternoon. I'm not big on teas, but i have been drinking Yogi's "Woman's Mother to be" tea and it has been perfect in the morning and evenings.
WE'RE ALMOST THERE!!!!
PS. i saw this print and thought of you (glow in the dark? awesome!) :

you look so darling! and what fun/interesting facts. maple syrup pee has got to be better than asparagus pee right?
and THANK YOU for the reminder about fall not beginning until almost the END of September. It's been driving me crazy all week.
xo
Wahoo so close! I feel you on the sleep situation. Moving from one side to the other is such a chore. My husband is practically sleeping on the dogs bed with all the pillows I have wedged around me!
You look darling, and sound so prepared!
I can't say it enough, but you are the cutest, skinniest preggo lady i have ever seen! I love you to pieces and can't wait to meet my lil nephew!!!!!! xoxo
