Lately
How about a good catch-all catch-up post? Since that is all I can handle these days!
-As you can see above we sent out Jonas' birth announcements. I had a livingsocial deal for Paper Culture, I think they turned out pretty cute. We didn't order a ton since I figured we would send out more Christmas cards than usual with his mug on those too.
-Despite the colic and possible reflux, things do seem to be evening out over here. By that, I mean when he is awake he is still almost always crying, but those moments where he isn't? He is smiling, borderline cooing, staring deeply at his "art" or just being a pure joy. We live for those moments.
-I feel I have a running to-do list in my head broken down by how long each task is. I find if Jon has Jonas for 20 minutes, I can pump and paint my nails. If he has him for 5 minutes, I can pee and update the Netflix queue. These little things stack up in my brain. We take turns dealing with fussypants and then when I have free arms, I whisk around the house like a little tornado.
-Jonas sure was born during an exciting year with the Year of the Dragon, Olympics, Giants sweeping the World Series and the election. I sure won't ever forget what 2012 felt like.
-Nursing at Jon's office? Check, Check. Nursing at a party? Check, Check. Nursing out in public? Check, Check. Gotta feed my baby!
-Finally ordered my Ergo baby carrier. Cannot wait for it to arrive! Jonas is not loving the Moby wrap for as long as he used to. I have heard so many great things about the Ergo it seemed like a no-brainer.

Such sweet announcements. I love hearing the real side of motherhood. The way you describe measuring the time of tasks sounds like something I would do ordinarily! Glad things are going well, and you get to enjoy those sweet moments. :)
Love the announcements! It sounds like things are moving along and you are adjusting more :) In the next couple of months, the sweet joyful moments will become more frequent and soon you will barely remember the hard parts :) You are doing a great job, and Jonas is the cutest!! Love you! xxoo
His announcements are so cute! And I hear you on the nursing 24/7! Fun stuff huh!
what cute announcements! love them! :-)
he is pretty adorable! hope his fussing calms down a little :)
aww what a cutie! I recently started babysitting a 3 month old boy (first child of young parents) and it is EXHAUSTING! can't imagine how moms make it through those first few years but I hope to find out someday :)
thinking about you and the little fam lots lately. hope the colic is getting better... i think i would literally be pulling out my hair, scratching my eyeballs out and falling over in exhaustion all at the same time...
so huge props and hugs to you mama.
ps. you will LOVE the ergo. the difference in back pain and soreness is huge! i carried little brother around Disneyland in it all day when he was 1 1/2 and the only thing that hurt were my feet!
sending good vibes your way with the colic. i imagine its quite frustrating but you'll get through it! my friends daughter had colic so bad they had to take her to the hospital to lay under a sun lamp for 3 hours straight a few times a week! you sound like you are doing good though chica!
