I hit 27 weeks and the last week of my second trimester (what the what?) in Austin! And man, it was hot. But, totally incrediable and worthwhile! Those posts coming later. 27 weeks have been good to me even though now when I look at the most recent photos of myself, I can definitely see that my face has gotten quite a bit rounder. And I'm OK with that, for now. Also this week I felt the baby move on opposite sides of my belly at the same time! He is getting bigger/longer and his little movement sessions last for much longer now. Nothing hurts or jabs me, it all still feels fine. The highlight of 27 weeks has got to be when we were leaving San Antonio, walking to our car in the 107 degree heat, totally dragging ass and feeling beat, a girl at the crosswalk said to me "You have got to be the cutest pregnant girl ever." For the record, this is what pregnant women like to hear. I cannot tell you how much that sentence from a stranger lifted me!
27 weeks also meant time for my glucose screening and the dreaded "orange drink". So you can imagine my surprise when my lab offered me fruit punch, lemon lime or orange! It wasn't bad at all. Just tasted like a super sweet Sprite that had gone flat. But it was nice and cold and not a big deal. Felt a little sickie afterwards for maybe 5 minutes, but that passed. Now, let's cross our fingers I pass the actual test! This sour patch kid loving girl is a wee nervous.

PHEW I was having blog withdrawls. this one made me all teary. I just have to say baby I am so happy right now! I love you so much and i can't wait to see this big belly and meet the little man. :) you ARE the cutest little pregnant lady! mean it :)

awww, that baby bump is too cute! you look so pretty! and i am thankful that i won´t have to do that glucose screening once i get pregnant. here in austria you can´t choose the flavor and it´s REALLY ugly!

Lemon lime!! I wasnt offered that, I got handed the orange one and said have a good time drink it within 5 minutes, which was a challenge! Thank god I passed I did not want to do the 3 hour, goodluck!!!
well you are totally cute!! fun that we're so close in weeks...i feel like the baby is going to be here so quickly! this whole pregnancy so far has flown by..i'm so glad to be feeling tip top!
