Halloween around the house

This is probably my favorite holiday to decorate for. I also love Valentine's Day but its so awkward since the 14th is the middle of the month and you don't wanna put everything up for two weeks or do you leave it up all month? I kind of have a rule about not decorating for a holiday in a month that you're not in yet. Does that make sense? In other words, we are not putting Christmas stuff up the day after Thanksgiving. Nope. Anyways, with Halloween being at the very end of October, it's just sort of perfect.

 {2011 Halloween Mantle}

This year's new addition, a Halloween card from Rifle Paper Co.
framed atop wallpaper scraps. I'm so happy with the way this turned out.
Cheap and Easy.

The only brown bottles I saved from the wedding. They are holding sticks from the backyard that dangle Mr. Cat, Skeleton and Moon Man. Also, a new gray velvet pump sits nearby.

I'm really a fan of the classic black and orange combination and anything with a black cat I will usually go for.

This is my little owl yard. I grabbed a bunch of black and orange books and nestled them in with my owl collection and some bottle brush trees I dyed years ago.

P.S. Halloween decorations from 2009 and 2010.

Loves it. But I kinda had a heart attack when you said "the only brown bottles I saved from my wedding." What did you do with the rest?!?

Love your new banner too! And your mantle..."I die." They're always so cute, Holly. I was feeling proud of myself, and I was totally going to do my decorating over the weekend until I got sick. At least I can admire yours now until I can do mine this weekend.
