Wine Tasting in Santa Cruz

Warmer weather means fun day trips. We hit up a couple wineries with our good friends this weekend in my old college town, Santa Cruz.

Fueled up at Walnut Avenue Cafe before hitting the vino.

First stop was Bonny Doon Vineyard. After checking out their trippy website
I knew we had to stop there. The decor and scene inside was awesome.

Tastings here were generous and only $5 a person.
Jon and I have encountered tasting fees as high as $20 in Napa,
so this felt like a steal.

Next up, Storrs!

Delicious. Overall I liked the wine here better. The tasting room was tiny but the server was awesome and didn't charge us for tastings. So I sprung for a bottle. Probably because I was pretty tipsy by this point.

Iced coffee and peanut butter fudge collision cookie to refresh
before hitting the road! We are so lucky to have Santa Cruz
and their wineries in our backyard.

Ahh, those photos make me yearn for Napa. And that last shot reminds me of the cookies I didn't get to bake today.

That looks like such a fun little date weekend trip! And those iced coffees look really tasty also. I will have to mark this on my to do list next time I am up north :)
