Garden Days

We finally got around to visiting the Ruth Bancroft Garden this weekend and now I have fresh new inspiration for our yard. The garden focuses on water conserving plants (think lots of gorgeous succulents and cacti) and design.
Taking this photo, I got too close and one of the points stuck me through my jeans and made me bleed!
Our loot! They were also having a plant sale, so we couldn't resist.

I read about that place a couple of years ago and wondered why I had never heard of it before after living in this area for so long. We'll have to check it out!

Just found your blog via Sweet Pie Pumpkin Noodle's Vanity feature...(love your vanity by the way). I composed a similar post about summer succulents from Minneapolis' Contemporary Sculpture Garden. They are my favorite! http://hilaryinspired.wordpress.com/2010/08/23/summer-succulents/

Excited about following a new blogger! ;-)
