If you've been reading this blog for awhile now, you know that we are not serving cake at our wedding but peach pies instead. You may also know that I dislike pie, so Jon and I will have a little cake of our own to cut and eat. I picked up a simple 6 inch cake from the local bakery and grabbed some rosemary and strawberry flowers from my garden. It isn't going to win any contests, that's for sure, but what do you think? Should I leave this to the professionals or keep it simple as I did?
P.S. Thanks for all your kind comments regarding our engagement photos,
you had me beaming all day!

love it. so you. plus its from your garden. so perfect
Very cute!! Seems to go well with everything else you've done... That rosemary reminds me of the leaves on the save the date! :) (btw got the invitation yesterday, I was so excited!! Love them and all your cute ass stickers/labels!)
I love how simple this is! Plus I also really like that elements are from your garden. I think this is perfect for the wedding :)
do nothing else. i love this. it is you and your day! coming from a pastry chef to be...it's better than perfect.
It's adorable! "Professional" wedding cakes are overpriced and usually don't taste very good. This would be a perfect sweetheart cake!
Do it! It looks amazing and it fits you. It looks better than any of those fancy schmancy cakes too :)
i like the cake how it is!
I love the idea of pies at wedding, but this rosemary garnish on your cake is the cutest. Are you so excited??
I can tell you what I got the most compliments on was the stuff that I had completely put together. Just keep in mind day of will be busy so it might be great to get a maid to assist on this.
it's lovely! definitely go with this idea. :)
Love it!!!
