Even though the lamp looks matte, I used Rub On Poly so its pretty glossy. And on the mirror I distressed it a little bit so the gold peeks through in a few spots--a first for me!

I hung up two new Etsy prints.

And today Jon and I were absolutely stuffed after our raw foods lunch at Cafe Gratitude, but managed to share a Cupkates cupcake afterwards!
And right now we are watching the Golden Globes (Yay Dexter's MCH and John Lithgow!) and have a quiche in the oven.

Three things:
1.Your lamp & mirror look great! I just love spray painting stuff. It's more fun than it should be, really.
2. I've been wanting those same exact etsy prints.
3. My dad and his band play at Cafe Gratitude every so often.
The end.
Have a great night!
So love all of your pictures! I wish I had your DIY skills! And yes - was so happy for MCH last night. :)

just discovered your blog and am loving exploring it! your diy project inspired me to do something similar, i've been obsessed with white interior objects ever since i discovered martin margiela, but you showed a smart and inexpensive way to get creative!
i hope you don't mind i re-blogged, i also added you to my blogroll. i'm looking forward to reading your future posts!
cheers,
stephanie
Love the lamp re-do...I can't believe it's the same one!
i love this! I need to do it...

mint iced tea! looks so delish
the mint adorned drink was actually Grapefruit, apple & celery juice! delish. :)
I have spray painted quite alot of items in my home. I think it's a great way to get a stylish look for less. Funny thing is, I actually have that same lamp, except mine are taller..bought them in an antique store. I still haven't decided where I should pain them, but i would like to replace the lampshades...mine have a funky pleat to them...yuck.
